I thought we could discuss a nickname we could use for the site. There is loads of serious Tolkien threads at the moment so i thought I should break the ice.
What about the TF?

The TF sounds good to me! Nice and simple...And ya, it is helpful not to always have to type out the entire name of the site...and it certainly takes too long on IM and such...

Well I suppose we could always opt for something a bit longer...perhaps ToFo or ummm... I hope you know I was kidding. Though it does remind me of tofu...I personally don't care for the stuff, but well, you never know...

when I saw ToFo I thought of the exact same thing....lol maybe as we have "the plaza" we can have "the forums"...I dunno maybe TF is a little confusing
Yes, but the forums could be anything! There are probably hundreds of Tolkien forums out there, so how are people going to know which one we're refering to?

Actually (notice I'm being stubborn yet again), I don't know of any other plaza having to do with Lord of the Rings...the forums just seems much too general. I'd probably know what you were talking about but...it might be nice to have something a bit more specific!

Tolfor... not bad, sounds like an actual ME place, better than ToFo, that sounds like some sort of cheap business buzz-word, and yes, a meat substitute hehe. Tolkums? lol, sounds like a nickname for J.R.R's cat... I'm not good with names.
Hmmm...ya, Tolkums does sound like a cat name doesn't it! We've certainly had some original ideas...And next time I try to suggest something like ToFo someone'd better stop me, lol!

TITF is good, though actually, I've kind of come round to Tolfo, which sounded slightly less like that icky meat substitute... Oh yeah, "slightly more colourful word", Thank FOO it's Tolkien Forums ? About as colourful as you can get :P!
