Does ANYONE know of any goings on in the Dark south land or the lands of Sun/Gates of morning? I find Tolkiens silence on these places quite frustrating. I wish there was something written about them apart from them being the place the Numenoreans saild to on there journeys around the world.

There are other things written about them concerning the Númenórean voyages in the History of Middle-earth series (though it's very, very little still). Have you already seen these writings? That is, is that what you meant when you refered to their journeys? Or would you wish me to post some quotes here?
