Mos111 is right. If you did not appreciate the first movie surely you would not watch the other 2, and certainly not bother with the extended versions?!
In short TM it is clear, like most Lotr fans that you think its a good film, albeit a bit shortened of the book, which is nessersary to condence it to an appropriate length.

I bought BFME long ago, played, and liked it a lot, but I had a problem doing a reload, and it wouldn't recognize the DVD game again. Put it on the shelf since then, but version II sounds intriging.

I loved it. It is the coolest LotR game I've played. The best and the worst (depending on the fan) is that you can switch it up. What I meen by this is that you can use people in places they are not sposesed to be. For example, I played Minis Tirith with Isandgard and called on the balrog to help me.
see...it doesn't make any sense no, not that you were able to use the balrog to your advantage, but how you did that you can't just call on the balrog, he doesn't care about anyone, and doesn't serve anyone in ME, not even Sauron
The Might - you would be terrible at creating a lotr game.
The idear is that you yourself control the fate of Middle-earth! Thats the whole point of the game. If we were continually stuck to the boundries of fate that we see in the film and book then there would be virtually no sales!
yeah, I am not so good at selling that kind of stuff to people but, as you well showed, this is the society we live in and I won't disagree with you on that
