Tolkien Mythographer

Hi all,

I want to share with you this book that I have recently found on Amazon. It's an interesting collection of essays about Tolkien and Myth. The book The Fellowship, the Ring, the Power, explores at length the connections between Tolkien masterpiece and his work as a whole, and the traditional northern mythology, as well as more in general the ancient lore of the European tradition.

The book is written mainly by academic experts, but is very readable and for many aspects its also very original in its points of view. I think that Tolkiens fans interested in scrutinizing inspirations and roots of the literary work of Tolkien will find this book refreshing and intellectually exciting. I loved especially the essay of the famous medievalist Franco Cardini who is a longtime Tolkiens scholar. Enjoyable!
