Nofinwe, Welcome to the Tolkien Forums. I think you will find a warm welcome to your comments and opinions here. The simple facts are folks here love Tolkien. We are from many lands and States and what holds us together is folks wanting to share and learn more about Tolkien. You can see there are many posts on many different threads ... if one appears out of date ... and you have a comment or opinion ... please don't hesitate ... we love it when that happens ... it gives us the opportunity to learn and re-visit more Tolkien. This is a place where we play together and many of us have built lasting friendships.
I am only a member here but if you need help with navigation or anything else here I will try my best to help out. The same was done for me when I first came aboard. There are folks here with several levels of expertise about Tolkien and his works And many of them will give you welcome and invite your participation.
So please feel free to jump in anywhere ... you are not alone on your annual re-reading of The Lord of The Rings ... and I think you will find folks here who match your passion for all of Tolkien's works.
So again, Welcome!
Bear an Elf-Friend

I just registered for this site, so I thought I should introduce myself!! I am Nofinwe, and I've been a fan of Tolkien's work for many years. It started when Peter Jackson's first movie came out, after which I found out it was based on a book. Since then, I've read all the major works (LotR, Hobbit and Silmarillion). I actually just finished reading the LotR (as I do at least once a year) and am currently reading The Silmarillion yet again!
Nofinwe, Welcome and well met. I've been a member of this site since August of 2011. I haven't found a forum that is as engaging and informative as this one! The members here are kind-hearted and wise in the Tolkien Lore and I have learned much by them.
I think you'll find some of the older topics very enticing and remember, there is no topic that is too old to be refreshed and dialogue can be had a-plenty, so dig in and revitalize an older topic or begin a new one. It will be good to hear a fresh perspective....
Actually Christoper Lee, who played Saruman in the Movie, read the Entire Trilogy every year since he was a youngster in school. So you are in Good company.
Welcome to the Forums!
