Denny's NEW HOBBIT Menu

Quote

" A pretty big product launch is heading to Denny's diners nationwide in just a couple of weeks. The sure-to-be blockbuster hit of the holiday season, The Hobbit, has a promotional menu tie-in with Denny's in preparation for the movie.

For someone who owns two versions of The Lord of the Rings trilogy (books and movies) and four versions of The Hobbit book, this new themed menu surrounding the upcoming movie has my inner-geek excited. The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters December 14th and this big new menu of Middle Earth grub will be hitting Denny's tables on November 6th. " /Quote

This cracks me up! I had actually thought Denny's had gone Chapter 13 and closed all doors. It was yesterday that traveling in a different state that I saw a Denny's for the first time in a few years.

I'm with you Arwen, I'm curious about it for sure. I just wish that it was a different restaurant that was doing the promotion.

Why, so somebody who doesn't have a Denny's near can enjoy the fare? If you were to go, which of those dishes would you get?

LOL !!!
I figure Peter Jackson has to make his money somehow!
I wonder "how much of the pie" the Tolkien Estate will receive?

We humans are amizing and twisted creatures!

I appreciate a Denny's meal (my favorite; Chicken fried steak) but I appreciate Tolkien more
Rename the meals so we don't feel like we're commercializing the greatest literary run we've had since the early 1900's.
Here I have a list to mirror the one above; 1-11...
1-
2- Bilbo's Larder breakfast
3- Piggle's
4-Bolger's home stew
5-If the 'Ring Burger' doesn't have an Onion Ring in it, than it should contain Jalepeno's with a side of vanilla ice-cream and should be renamed ' The Ring Goes South'... HA!
6-Goblin-Cleaver melt (Gandalf's recommendation). Or simply; 'Glamdring, The Foe' (of Hunger) Hammer!' LOL!
7-Blue Mountain Hoard
8-The Arkenstone
9-Radagast's waybread
10-Bilbo's Berry Mash
11-Wilderland choice-
This is from a Numenorean palate, of course so forgive me...

God Bless you Jaidoprism7!

I figure if I offer "The Arkenstone" to my date I'll be a celebrated Bear ...

However ... I fear my dwarf friends will never talk to me again ... of course if Denny's is my big idea for a dinner date, hobbit or not, I will be as much a bachelor as Frodo and Bilbo, for trhe rest of my days ...

I hope Tolkien's family rakes up!!
They deserve it. I can't wait to see the Tolkien Story. But Christopher deserves the monies, if there is any. I hope there's a huge mansion or Estate somewhere with Tolkien's work's abound....
I Would go there and enjoy a sack lunch and revel in that place...I would wander and Be Lost....

Thank you for the comedy routine Jado and Bear. It's a good way to start the day!

I think I like your menu names Jado better than the ones offered by Denny's. But, if I had to choose something off the list based on my taste I guess it would be the milkshake. If I ate the other things offered and I were to choose based upon the name alone it would be Radagast's puppies.

The Tolkien Estate has nothing to look forward to, since Saul Saentz has all the rights from what I understand.

I don't know about the UK, but here in Houston Texas we have " The Hobbit Cafe"
Here is a link to their site. I have it open on the Sandwich Menu which has some nice Middle-earth names
