Hello to all Tolkien fans :)

Greetings to all!!

I am Tolkien fan for many years and i am deeply infused with the world Tolkien has created and i am very excited to participate in these forums...:)

I've read The Sillmarilion,The Children of Hurin,The Hobbit,The Lord of the Rings,Unfinished Tales,Adventures of Tom Bombadil and now i am on The History of Middle-Earth which i find very exciting especialy when reading early stages of his work and begining of the stories that shaped Middle-Earth..all in all everything Tolkien has written is sacred by its nature and i have a deep admiration for the Proffessor and his work...

So i look forward in discussions with all of you  and its good to know that there are so many Tolkien fans here...:)

Gorthaur the Cruel,
Welcome to The Tolkien Forums!
It looks like you are pretty well read of Tolkien's works.
Your avatar is first rate!
I think you will find many threads here where your extensive reading will lead to some very interesting discussions.
If you find a thread that peaks your curiosity or generates an opinion don't hesitate a second.  We love opening older threads and cherish new folks insights.

I am only a member here but if I can be of assistance with navigation or any of the threads please don't hesitate to ask.  I think you will see a welcome from many other members soon.
Again, welcome!

I agree with your premise of Tolkien's work being sacred by nature.  There are so many archetypes and so much psychological depth in his characters and the many situations in which he places them. Certainly there are scenarios where a numinous experience transforms good or indifference into evil and then are overcome by heroic quest.

It is fun to see how Tolkien's early works go through the evolution to what eventually makes it to print.  The History of Middle-Earth stuff is a wonderful place to expand our concept of that process.
I think your insights will provide fuel for many discussions.

Let me repeat;
Welcome!
Bear an Elf-Friend
