Does anyone know what happened to the Thains Book website? It's one of my favorite Tolkien sites, I don't know how many people here use it, but I've been unable to access it for the past few weeks.

It was a encyclopedia of all things Tolkien. It was a tongue and cheek resource based on "Redbook" kept by the hobbits . The Thain's Book was a reference of hobbit history and the world view in the Shire.
It is/was an excellent reference for things in The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the Silmarillion.
Here is the last "address" I have for "The Thain's Book". http://www.tuckborough.net/

I have been browsing the web to try and locate the website but to no avail. A bit of information I did pick up from the web a day ago was that The Thain's Book(Tuckborough.net) is up for sale for just under $2000. It looks like it was plagued with a lot of security problems, I know, because when I did try to access the website a message would come up that the site was dangerous and contained malware. Like many other people, I am a big fan of the website and It was an excellent online reference library for all things Tolkien.
So perhaps Tolkien fans may come to the rescue of this wonderful website.
I saw this thread and remembered how much I loved that site as well. I decided to search a little known resource I learned about a couple years back and I think you all will be as happy as I was. Check out the following link:
I'd love to copy all the content and start a new site with it but I don't know if there are legal issues with doing it. Anyway, I think all the content is there and the linking seems to work.
I have just revived the Thain's Book (original tuckborough.net, then thainsbook.net) on a new address - thainsbook.minastirith.cz (kind of Thain's book is located in Minas Tirith now ;) ). This is more of a call to original author to claim his or her rights. I plan to update it a bit for 2019 in terms of code/mobile devices, etc. and translate it eventually, if I am not forced to shut it down sooner.
If you know anything about the original author, if you talked to him or her back in 2011, please, let me know!
