Good day to my favorite cast of Tolkien enthusiasts, I don't know if this is in poor taste or not but I wanted to direct you most respectable *Tolkien Home Page* members to another site for just one day. That day is today March 10th, 2012. I have looked into Theonering.net for some time for news about the upcoming "Hobbit" movie in Dec. 2012 and I read something that I would love to pass on to you most informed and well-versed members! You know who you are... (pretty much each and every one of you!). I'm not endorsing Theonering.net and I am certainly loyal to this one site in particular (I'm a one site kinda guy, besides, why would I need to look anywhere else? This site is home to me). I digress; I bring this up only because Theonering.net is hosting a quiz today involving trivia of the LOTR, Hobbit, Silmarillion persuasion. It occured to me upon reading the invite that this site, in which I write to you now, has as members, the greatest minds for these topics. Like I said: You know who you are! It goes down at 6p.m. eastern time so about 3-ish pacific standard time. I say we jump in there and crash their system (not meaning piracy or anything drastic) meaning: let's show them what we got? Galin, Bear, Arwen Legolas, Bilbo Baggins, Glorfindel, some one call in Kyranger and the whole lot of you! I realize this might be much ado about nothing but I find that each member here including our moderators and site masters are over qualified for such an event and the show of force would be awesome to behold. Heck, I'll throw my hat in the contest just to be humbled by greater minds! I hope this isn't too much of a insult to this site that I lead others to another site. Like I said before: I am loyal to this one site, even though site loyalty may not be a required attribute in a Tolkien fan. Don't mean to step on any toes for sure. Anyway, give it a go if you have the desire but personally, I'd like to see you guys get in there and hear later that Theonering.net really got it handed to them. To quote a favorite movie of mine; The Big Lebowski, Walter Solchek says: "They're a bunch of F&#@# amatuers!" No biggie guys! I wasn't able to attend myself. I had other duties that day but had to let you know about it. I couldn't find out how the operation was conducted but the tease was that there was a moderator named Elrond and he had over 700 question from Silmarillion to Lord of the Rings. It would've been cool for you guys to crash the boards over there. Just to show them where the real talent lies.

I didn't have much warning about he contest myself so I apologize for the short notice. I'll keep my eye on it in hopes that we'll have another chance.
