Wasn't sure where to start so I figured this was the best place. I've read The Hobbit, The Trilogy, and am about sixty pages into the Silmarillion. Since I've been getting more and more into Tolkien, I figured I'd join a forum seeing as how much I google things looking for information about his work. Oh ya and this is my first forum site so I'm new to all of this

Welcome to the forums. I'm new here myself, but everyone seems very friendly and hospitable. I do hope you enjoy yourself here and engage in some interesting discussions and learn a few things too. (I'm sorry that I can't really help you with the technical aspect of things, but I'm sure the more experience members will gladly answer any questions you may have.)
Any way, Welcome friend!

I've only been here a couple of weeks myself and I would echo FirstBorn's comment about everyone being kind and helpful here. Navigating is still a slight problem for me but once you get your bearings I'm sure you'll have a good time with all the forum selections this site has. A word of advice: If you enter any of the forums and find that people haven't really added anything to the topics since 2006, don't be daunted. If you put your opinions on any of those (seemingly) long dead topics you'll see a remarkable "rekindling of the fires" (so to speak) so comment on! Good luck.
P.s. Some of the more distinguished members of this site love answering question from the simple to the deepest of the archival and obscure as well. You never know, your entry might be the stone that starts the mountain slide! Have fun!
