Greetings and well met, fellow Tolkienians. It is good to show our appreciation for this truly great historian and poet. I send greetings from the elven community in Australia. Like my good friend Mr Wain, I come here from www.tolkienforum.co.uk on recommendation of Galin. My deepest regard for all here. H.K. Ereinion Gil-galad & Aeglos
Ereinion Gil-galad, Welcome to the Tolkien Forum. Galin is one of our most respected members and it certainly speaks well for you that he invited you to share with us. We are a diverse yet easy going group and your input will be welcomed.
I am only a member here but if I can help in anyway please feel free to ask via thread, pm, or through our chatbox. There is a bounty of wonderful threads and topics. The trivia games are simple and fun. And the diversity among our membership leads to a very interesting flow of opinion and scholarship. Again, Welcome! Bear an Elf-Friend

Welcome, Gil-galad! (I was used to calling you Aeglos, but I'll manage :) ) Well I'm hardly in much of a position to welcome anyone, seeing how I'm only a few days old myself, but I'm making an exception for my good friend, whom I've know for a long long time.
Over at HarperCollins I did recommend this site, among others, in a collective sort of way. That is, I posted: 'I think Trotter's idea is easiest anyway -- that is, collectively moving to another forum.'
And I added links to some different forums (now reduced to two), later adding that I thought John had made a good choice by coming here. One reason I included TolkienForums (aside from the nice people here) is that this community seemed to be looking for more activity lately. I don't know who will choose to follow John or Ereinion over here.
Anyway, just thought I would explain my little part to the People and the Mods here.

Great work Galin! It would be great to have an influx of new members, as we seem to be having. Hopefully others from that site will be persuaded to join as well. Spread the Good Word.
