I have read The Hobbit, LOTR series, Silmarillion and snippets here and there of this and that from other works.
I do like role play too (in limited doses).

Meimei, Welcome to the Tolkien Forums. You are right, there are some wonderful topics AND people here. It seems that Tolkien and his works can lead to the deeper philosophical questions of our time and yet still be simple enough for understanding that hobbits stored the elvish way-bread, lembas, in their pockets.
Their are folks here from many different countries and cultures. And folks have come to appreciate Tolkien in different ways too. Usually they come through reading the books, but, it is not unusual to find that the films were their introduction also. The point is, no matter how you find your way here, you are welcome.
I am just a member here but if you have questions about the site or a Tolkien topic I will be happy to try and help, either through a thread, a PM, or through our chatbox.

This is my first time i visit here. I found so many entertaining stuff in your blog, especially its discussion. From the tons of comments on your articles, I guess I am not the only one having all the leisure here! Keep up the good work.
