A Tolkien Do You Know This...

This a game based on an alphabetical guide to middle-earth.

The procedure is as follows:

The title of the game is as you see a question, which will be followed by a sub-clue, like this and a letter designating the first letter of the word or phrase I want you to figure out. Like this:

...accidental leader of the pack:

A - Taking up the job after the tragic loss of Mithrandir. = Aragorn

You post your answer and I edit in the correct one in the original clue-post as is seen above.

You are supposed to try to figure out as many clues as you can and Ill post these messages to tell you if you are correct or have to try again:

Correct, *ur name*, you may proceed. (After which I'll edit in your answers in the original clue thread as shown above)

or

Sorry, try again.

I hope you will find it interesting, even though the only reward will be that you know enough about Tolkien's world to figure out all or many of the clues.

PS  A note on the letter designating - the first 26 clues will be slightly different from the rest. They will designated with all the letters from A - Z after which the clues will be designated as follows: AA, AB, AC and so on.
