Mae govannen. My name is Eledhdil, or Ledh if you prefer something shorter. I'm an insatiable bookworm, an archer, into historical re-enactment, and in my final term of a BA in archaeology and mediaeval history.
I've been reading Tolkien pretty much continuously since I was about 8 or 9 when I first read The Hobbit. I read LotR when I was about eleven, and The Silmarillion and UT a few years later. Since then I've become reasonably good at translating Quenya and Sindarin both into and from English, been a member of various Tolkien discussion forums and RP boards since late 2004 and written my third year dissertation on Tolkien and dragons.
I was introduced to this site by Earwen Arcamenel, who I met randomly in a bookshop. I'm not sure how active I'll be on this site, as this isn't my main Tolkien home on the net and my diss has put me slightly off Tolkien for a while, but I look forward to seeing you all in the forums.
Hello Ledh, my name is Arwen Legolas, it is nice to meet you. Welcome to the Tolkien Forum. It sounds like you may also be a fellow SCAer. I am active on several boards and sites. Which one is your Home? I look forward to see you around the board. By the way, I just started a Beginning Sindarin Course. If you ever want to drop in and help, feel free to do so. Glass nín le cened.

Thankies for the welcome Arwen Legolas. My Middle-earth home on the net is the Lord of the Rings Fanatics Plaza, commonly known as the Plaza. When my exams are over and I don't need to concentrate on revision I'll pop by your course - it sounds interesting May I ask what you mean by SCA?
Welcome Ledh to TF. If the discussion are not serious enough for you feel free to start any topic you like and I am sure it will be replied to satisfactorily.
