Hey everybody. I am a seasoned LOTR fan, althought I do not consider myself a loremaster. Based on my name, you can tell my favorite character is the Witch King. I look forward to meeting other people here and sharing my interest of LOTR. BTW, If anyone knows of writings or something that has in-depth detail concerning the Witch King and the rise of Angmar please tell me.

Hi. Its good to see some fanatics joining into the Tolkien forums club. You may want to choose a Kingdom. You'll see the link under the 'site navigation' tab just under the main forum picture at the top. I think I know which kingdom you'll join!
BTW: How much do you know about the WK already? Just stuff from Lord of the Rings?

Yeah I joined the Mordor kingdom. Go figure. Anyway, yeah I know alot about the Witch King from the books, movies and video games. He is such a frikin powerful person and I wish Tolkein would have shed a little light on his background. I also have the game Battle for Middle Eath 2: Rise of the Witch King.

Welcome to TF. I trust you will find the people as friendly and supportive as I have.
There is a bit of trivia in the introduction to Unfinished Tales where the Witch King is named. Don't know if there is anything else in there as I have not finished reading it yet. Suggest you simply find the appropriate forum and start a thread there if one does not exist already.
Hope to see you around.

About Angmar, I am pretty sure we had a thread here discussing whether it would have been better for the WK to have created his realm somewhere in the Druwaith Iaur (the area north-west of the western end of the White Mountains) or somewhere close to Dunland, rather then in the north...but I can't find it right now, maybe someone else knows the link
Anyway, it would be interesting to know more about the WK, however the lack of personality of the Nazgul is a pretty important characteristic they have. Through excesive use of the ring they lost their identity. The exception of Khamul is indeed interesting, but let us keep in mind it is only present in the UT and not a published text.
You got pretty fast acquainted to the forums I see. So how do you prefer being called: Witch or Angmar? Anyways, welcomes you happily to TF and if someone bothers you, come to me Unfortunately I don’t share the same passion for Star Wars though I have an idea about the movies. So if you decide to open a discussion on this I’ll contribute with what I can. Feel free to poke and call names this thing called Rumil when he’s braking on your nerves. I always allow this inside the family and you just have been invited to join it See you aroundservant of Sauron!
