Near enough is good enough

Well, when Tolkien Forums mysteriously went off-line a little over a week ago and my 2007 resolution of no troll baiting curtailed my activities markedly on Minas Tirith, I plugged in Tokien Forums on Google and washed up on these shores.
So here I am.... I bid you all welcome. Many new names, many recognised ones as well.  Time for me to explore the site and see what I may see.
The Road goes ever on and on...

Thank you all for your hospitality and kindness.
I look forward to venturing about this community.
Might I beg an indulgence and ask for some guidance? Where might you direct a lover of all things Silmarillion?

Well from what I saw there are two Ranking kingdom choices which are solely Silmarillion based - Slaves of Udun and Peoples of Beleriand. You could choose one of them.
Plus also there are various forums which deal exclusively with the First Age like 'The Silmarillion', 'Utumno', 'Elven Lore 1' etc. Also there is role-plays for the First Age but they haven't been participated in yet it appears.

Mae govannen Elora
Welcome to the newest member!
I, myself, dunnot walk on the path of this forum since 'nut and anchor' but in short time I succeded to fully understand the meaning and beauty of TF. You wanna know the secret? Here it is..
I invested the time and patience to explore the place, ohh and trust is much to see here. I started posting shortly after I registered and I remained faithfull. I observed the people, I read the threads and I posted where I found something to post. And in time I simply coulnd't surf on the internet wihtout being logged in the forums to see what's going on. I'm addicted and I'm not feeling it as a bad thing.
May I suggest fallowing the same simple steps and in time you'll realize what's TF all about.
This place is about friends, knowledge, fun, debates and chat. Make sure you won't miss any of them.
