I have just had an idea to make a new mini-game thread, one based (as the title says) on yes or no questions. And here are the rules:
~ A member chooses a word related to Tolkien's works (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and The Silmarillion) ~ The other members ask YES or NO questions ~ The other members may questions until the answer is found ~ Each member may only ask new YES or NO questions if someone else has asked before him, except the case if no questions have been asked for more then 3 hours ~ Each member may ask several questions at a time ~ When a member thinks he knows enough about the word to try and say what it is, he may do so ~ Each meber has however only 3 guesses as to what the answer is ~ When a member answer correctly, he may choose a new word and restart the game ~ If a word is not answered in 5 days, we have an OPEN FLOOR, and the person whose word was not answered reveals the answer ~ The Rules of the thead MAY change depending on how the thread developes ~ All other forum rules are to be respected as well ~ Enjoy yourselves !!!
Ok, enough with the rules. I have my word. So, who wants to ask the first yes or no question?
I realise that...so if anyone has any ideas about helping the thread go faster please have your say if not I am afraid I will close this thread in a day or 2 due to the fact that it is taking too long, even under normal circumstances to finish finding a word. I was not sure if the thread would work at all, but I thought I should still give it a try...seems it didn't work out in the end...too bad no, not in gondor either
no, I think I'll give an OPEN FLOOR anyone that has a Tolkien related word and wishes to answer the YES or NO questions, please simply post that you want to do it and start.
I'll do it : ) This is a good idea TM. Perhaps you should put a limit on the number of questions? So when you get to, say 20, you can say 'You're all wrong, it was Boromir', or something. Just an idea. Anyway, let the questioning begin.
Dang *bashes head on keyboard* Sorry, had to leave in a hurry the other day.
