“And thou, Melkor, shalt see that no theme may be played that hath not its uttermost source in me, nor can any alter the music in my despite. For he that attempteth this shall prove but mine instrument in the devising of things more wonderful, which he himself hath not imagined.”

Well, after reading Lady Yavanna's opening thread I thought this thread is a good idea. So here are the rules for this thread: - someone posts a quote from a Tolkien book or from one of the movies - the others try to find out who said that in the book or in the movie - who manages to answer correctly can post a new quote - please wait until your answer is confirmed before posting a new quote - if an answer has not been confirmed within 2 days, someone else may post a new quote - only quotes from the LOTR, the Sil and the Hobbit are allowed, the other books are not so well known - all forums rules are to be respected !!!
HAVE FUN !
ok, let's start with an easy one: "Send forth all legions! Do not stop the attack until the city falls"
I think we can allow minor slip-ups like that, right? Though admittedly it makes it a little harder, it's still recognisable. Ok, "I will not say farewell my lord, " I'm hoping that's not too tricky.
BTW, TM, are you taking quotes from the EEs of the movies?
maybe Eowen then no, they aren't accepted either, because some members might not have the EE but I personally suspect all fans here own or at least saw the movies and read the books... of course some might not have read or seen all, or maybe they simply forgot, but then again, the thread would be far too easy then still, do try to make the quotes hint towards a specific person or group of persons
-?? I think we can safely and justly include stuff from all movies and LoTR books... Nope :D Gah, I hoped that one wasn't too hard, maybe it's just something that stuck in my own mind. We-ell.. if you want a clue---- it's a hobbit, that narrows it down huh?
'Yea, I will drink thy blood gladly, that so I may forget the blood of Beleg my master, and the blood of Brandir slain unjustly. I will slay thee swiftly.'
