The title is pretty self explainatory.... every time I try to vote at the site polls (where it says "Poll here!") It comes up with this message (sorry, it's a bit big, but this is how it comes out...)
HTTP Status 500 -
type Exception report
message
descriptionThe server encountered an internal error () that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
So you have been on the homepage and clicked your desired choice and then pressed 'Submit'? And then it comes up with that page? Have you tried doing it from using the tab top right of this page.

Ok, well, Glorfindel, I have tried both, and each time it comes up like that. thanks though. Bauglir- I don't think there's a problem on my computer... everything else is going fine. I'll check up on it, though. Thanks, for you to. TM- Well, my brother has firefox, so i'll try that now. Again, thank you. Well, if all else fails, I guess I'll PM one of the admins... like Bauglir said.
I have the same problem!!! I get the same message everytime I try to vote- I click on the POLL HERE sign, mark my vote, want to submit it and then the message shows...
For those who cannot access the polls here is your help information that has been sent to us by email from our server:
"There are a large number of variables involving the type of problems you have described. We have made sure that this is not a site wide issue but is rather an issue with either your system or browser settings.
Our system is built for PC's running Internet explorer 5.5 and higher and Macintosh/Unix computers running Mozilla 1.5 or higher. Users using other browsers may experience some difficulties with our site. If you do not have either of these browsers or believe the problem has to do with your browser, we highly recommend trying the FREE and SECURE Mozilla Firefox Browser, which has been tried and tested with our system. You can download Firefox for free at: http://members.freewebs.com/page.jsp?page=getFirefox
Another common problem is that your system should allow automatic cookie handling. Go to your Internet Properties and select the Advanced button in the Privacy Tab. Make sure that you are accepting both first and third-party cookies.
We have found that the majority of our users have problems editing their site if they have Norton Internet Security or Zone Alarm running. Although these are the most popular among users, other security applications and firewalls will pose the same problem. There is not problem with the software, but if your settings are not configured correctly, you will run into problems. Specifically, disable the ad-blocker or pop-up blocker if you have it active. Keep in mind that there is an ad-block associated with the Internet Security feature, and one in the spam blocker section of the anti-virus feature. For ZoneAlarm Pro Users, under the "Privacy" section, "Main" tab, both Cookie Control and Ad Blocking must be turned completely off. If you have a different firewall, check your user manual for specific instructions. You can always return your Firewall to a higher setting once you have finished editing your site.
Some users have contacted us about not having known they had a pop-up blocker that was linked to their Google or Yahoo Toolbar, but was restricting their editing capacity.
Another problem may have to do with your security settings. This can be caused by installing software such as spybot search and destroy. Open your browser, then click on: Tools -> Internet Options Click on the security tab, and then click on the Red Icon where it says "Restricted Sites", then click on the "Sites" button. Browse through your Restricted Sites list (if there are any listed there) and be sure freewebs.com is not listed there. If it is, click on it, and then click remove to remove it from your restricted sites list. If you run SpyBot Search & Destroy, this list may keep getting repopulated every time you use their software.
If none of these help you and you choose to ask additional questions, please be sure to give us as much information about your system as possible, including what anti-virus and anti-spyware software you run, what type of computer you have, and what browser you are using."
Please try all the suggestions in the preceding passage until the polls are accessable. If all fail then please post giving us all the Internet and computer specifications you know of so we can passs them onto our server. We will then post the answers here.

Hm, maybe.. I dunno, it might be anything from it's jus my freaky compooper to my virus system.... but, you can try Aredhel. Go up to Tools (once your internet is started up), click internet options, and go to privacy. Set it to the lowest setting, and vote. Once your done, you can put it back! Try it, might not work, but worth a try1
I'd personally suggest going to your list of accepted sites, and enable it for Tolkien Forums because that way the security level is low enough for this forum, but still normal for the rest of the net
