Greetings!

Hullo, my name is Beren and probably well know to all of you... if not from the books then maybe because you have seen me around. Been on the internet dicussing Tolkien since 1995... and use this nick since then. Have been a Tolkien collector for about 17 years now and have been reading tolkien for about 22 years now. I'm not sure if i can call myself a lore master, but others do call me that.
Hope to find some interesting talks...
Cheers

Welcome Beren to Tolkien Forums. I hope you find it up to scratch here and I hope you stay active.

Tip: if you know alot about Tolkien lore you should keep your eyes open for Maiarship or even Valarship (moderatorship and adminship).

Welcome Beren.
It's a pleasure to have you with us.
I look forward to seeing you around.

(I also think that you would make a great Maia/Vala position, judging by what you've said about yourself.)

Many thanks for the kind welcome... but i'm not seeking to become an admin. I'm more the Olorin type, a wondering wizard. I always pop by unexpected and then dissapear again... but i'll always have an eye on this place. I'm glad to see some great discussions in here and hope to find time to make some good talks over here.

I'm very busy and time is never on my side. I'll do my very best to come by as often as i can!

Wow, what just happened? I saw my name nominated for the 1st annual Northeast Tolkien Society award: The Imperishable Flame in the category Tolkien Fan Appreciation.

It was a BIG surprise to see my name (Pieter Collier) and site (tolkienlibrary.com) up there and hope people will vote for me. Please do vote for me if you think i deserve to win! I'm feeling a winner already if you see what names are also nominated!

All hail Beren!
Soon-to-be winner of the 1st annual Northeast Tolkien Society Award in the category of Tolkien Fan Appreciation.
How many people can say they've done that?
You deseve it as well Beren. 'The Tolkien Library' is a great site.

thanks so much! It is no where near to where i want to go, but i think the bibliography on Dutch Tolkien Books really did the trick. Or just the site in general... i'm honored and a little proud. Maybe i'll win, who knows...

But i still guess the other guys deserve it no more less then me. Who ever wins, it will be deserved!

TM- Beren is from Belgium, not Holland. Look at the members list.

Yep close but not the same... all people tend to forget that we also do speak Dutch! Google is the biggest example.
