I think that it kind of depends on the situation. Does Sauron have the One Ring? If he does than I think that he would destroy Galadriel. He is the "Lord of the Rings" I am a new tolkien fan so I don't really know the books backwards and forwards. So would Sauron be able take Galadriel's ring and use it just like what he did to the Dwarven Rings and the Rings of Men? If Sauron doesn't have the One Ring than Galadriel would have a much better chance on winning.

I thought a little more about it and then remembered that Galadriel is peaceful. She would have to be willing to try to defeat Sauron. So Sauron would defeat Galadriel every time, but not because she wasn't powerful.

Ah but Galadriel has a better chance because since her mirror can see what will happen to the future so she can correct those mistakes and remember when Galadriel became a Dark Galadriel in Lothlorien with Frodo, and she is the "Storm Queen'' so water can put out fire and Sauron has fiery powers so she could disable it and then Sauron has a big disadvantage against her but this strategy might work outside Mordor but inside he feeds his power from the darkness of Mordor and his tower, Barad-Dur and this strategy won't work well if it is somewhere where Sauron could feed his power.

Though you seem hesitated don't get confounded of it, let yourself inspire the book.

My master, Sauron is waiting for me in Space.

RE: Sauron vs Galadriel

But if Sauron has the one ring back, he would be a lot more powerful than before he had it. Galadriel may have water powers, but what is a bucket of water against a huge forest fire? Sorry for that horrible analogy, but it was the only one I could think of.

Remember she is a ''Storm Queen'' so what good can a forest fire hurt a storm even though he has the One Ring.
Sauron's ring has will, malice and cruelty, also Galadriel could take Elendil's sword (correct me if I'm mistaken about Elendil's sword) and cut the Ring again from Sauron and he would flee again so Galadriel would have time to pour the Ring on Mount Doom!

Sauron was unquestionably considerably stronger than Galadriel. Unless we're talking about Galadriel with the One Ring and Sauron without it?

I think you've nailed it Glorfindel1235.

Actually you are incorrect Glorfindel1235 since Sauron lost much power and Galadriel hasn't so Sauron would've lost.
