Lamedon is an area in Gondor. Around the Headwaters of the Ciril. The chief town of Lamedon seems to have been Calembel. Lamedon was probably a fiefdom.

The response "Ost-in-Edhil (S City-of-the-Elves)" was just too brief for me, like defining Frodo as a hobbit, or Galadriel as an Elf.
So here is a bit more ...

Ost-in-Edhil ~ (S.A. 750 ~ 1697, existed for c. 947 years), "Fortress of the Elves" in Sindarin, was the capital city of Eregion, a kingdom of Noldor and Sindar in Eriador. It lay where the rivers Sirannon and Glanduin met.
Ost-in-Edhil was founded by Galadriel and Celeborn, before the time they ruled Lothlórien. The Elves began trading with the Dwarves of Khazad-dûm and built a large road to connect the city with the West-gate of the Dwarven kingdom. The Elves of Eregion also traded with the Men of Númenor. After the Númenóreans founded the city of Tharbad to the south of Ost-in-Edhil, Galadriel is recorded meeting with Aldarion before he took up the Sceptre.
In time the Gwaith-i-Mírdain, a brotherhood of Elven craftsmen, was founded. They were led by Celebrimbor, the greatest smith since Fëanor. Sometime after S.A. 1350 Galadriel left for Lórien and Celebrimbor become lord of Ost-in-Edhil.
In 1200 a mysterious craftsman named Annatar came to the city, offering his considerable talents. For 400 years they learned from him and together forged the Nine and Seven of the Rings of Power. Annatar was, in truth, Sauron, who returned to Mordor to forge the One Ring. The Dark Lord returned with an army of Orcs and began the War of the Elves and Sauron, in which Celebrimbor was slain and Ost-in-Edhil was completely destroyed.
Centuries later the Fellowship of the Ring encountered the ruins of Ost-in-Edhil shortly before reaching Moria.

"Deep they delved us, high they builded us, fair they wrought us, but they are gone." (The Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring, Book Two, Chapter III ~ "The Ring Goes South", pg 489)

The archaic form of Highday was Highdei. In Quenya it was Valanya in honor of the Valar. It was also called Tárion in Quenya from tára meaning "lofty." The Sindarin names were Orbelain or Rodyn where Belain and Rodyn both mean "Valar."

Elatan ~ a nobleman who lived in the city of Andúnië during the early centuries of Númenor. He wedded Silmariën, the daughter and eldest child of Tar-Elendil, the fourth King of Númenor. Because of the law of agnatic primogeniture, Silmariën could not take the Sceptre. However, when Elatan and Silmariën had their first child, Valandil, Tar-Elendil created the title Lord of Andúnië to celebrate his first grandson. Valandil would become the first Lord of Andúnië and Elatan's descendants would be titled noblemen.

Called Swanfleet in Westron because of the many swans that lived on the lower reaches of the river.

Marish  ~ a fertile but boggy farmland region on the western banks of the River Brandywine, in the Eastfarthing of the Shire, and the edge of the world beyond. The Shire-folk in this region were more cautious than their fellow Hobbits who lived farther from the borders, and so they sought protection from the dangers beyond the River.

Oraearon  ~ Sindarin equivalent of Mersday or Thursday in the Shire. Mersday was the sixth day of the week. The archaic form of Mersday was Meresdei. This day did not exist on the calendar of the Elves, who had a six day week. It was the Numenoreans who created the seven day week, and they added this day which they named after the Sea. In Quenya it was called Eärenya from Eär meaning "Great Sea." In Sindarin it was Oraearon from aur meaning "day" and aearon meaning "Great Sea."

It is not totally understood why Snaga killed him, but he threatened the Orc, Snaga with a similiar fate if he didn't follow his orders.

Slag Hills ~ In front of the Black Gate was the Desolation of the Morannon. It was an grim and barren land where nothing grew. There were mounds of blasted earth that leaked poisonous fumes. Two great Slag-hills faced the Black Gate.  Mires and pools of mud and oily liquid stretched before the Black Gate like a moat. Beyond the Desolation of the Morannon was Dagorlad, the great Battle Plain.

Vidumavi  ~ also known as Galadwen was the daughter of Vidugavia, the King of Rhovanion.  She married the Gondorian King Valacar when he was on a diplomatic mission in Rhovanion.  Her heritage was to be, as the Dúnedain of Gondor feared, shortlived, but she succeeded in bearing Valacar a son, the future King Eldacar. Because of Eldacar's short-lived, non-Dúnadan mother, many Gondorians were unwilling to accept him as king, leading to the disastrous Kin-strife.
