Greetings, fellow Tolkienians!

Hello! I joined this forum because I'm a big fan of Tolkien, and in January of '09 I read all of his major works (The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion), and finished by February '10. Yet, I have always been a fan of fantasy, and as a young child I really enjoyed the animated Hobbit movie (even though I didn't fully understand it). Yet I never knew that tale had a sequel until the live-action LotR movies came out, which became my favorite film trilogy of all time. So therefore, I consider myself to be an "experienced" Tolkien fan.

With all of that said, I look forward to discussions with fellow fans of Tolkien's legendarium, as well as discussing other high fantasy works!smile

Sincerely, AG

AG,
Welcome to the Forums.
I think you have an excellent start on reading Tolkien's works.
Your input will be most welcome.
Here you will find many diverse levels of Tolkien scholarship and all are welcome.

Perhaps you will help us get to know you by describing your favorite character and why you chose them ... or favorite scene in the movies ... and describe those other realms of fantasy you are interested in.

Again,
Welcome!
Bear an Elf-Friend
