Greeting from The Shire

Greetings to all!

I have only just recently found this forum, and posted a few things about The Shire of my home. I am mostly interested in the moving of mail and the making of things. Small objects can help us form a 'sense of place' in our minds, and this sense of place is important to our development as citizens of the multiverse and our ability to travel laterally through the quantum timefield.

All the best, all the time!

Will

Will Whitfoot,
Welcome to the Tolkien Forums.
I think you will enjoy this sight.
There are many threads here and room for creativity and fun.
Occassionaly there is even some serious scholarship.
But for the most part we play games, share our insights and learnings, and challange each other in discussion with playful yet passionate post and repost.

I am just a member not an official "greeter".
I offer a warm welcome ... the same that was offered me.
If I can be of any help please don't hesitate to ask ... either in a thread, our chat box, or a private message (PM).

I am enjoying your ten pages of postal and social history by "Mr Underhill".
Thank you.
I have yet to finish it ... but as soon as I finish this little "welcome note" I will jump back in.

Again, a warm welcome.
Bear an Elf-Friend

Thanks Bear!

Hail and well met! Mostly I'm interested in the creation of "artyfacts"... based on serious scholarship. I think The Professor sketched out the bare bones of a wondrous world and expects us to fill out the flesh.

Welcome, I am one of the Moderators, and I also like to extent my "welcome" to you. We have no "Official" Greeters. I am delighted to have a Hobbit here. I guess you could start something like they had in the Shire called the "Mathom House" I would be happy to sticky it for you if you are really serious.

Welcome Will. I am surprised you didn't choose the Hobbit kingdom!

Look forward to seeing you about on the forums.

Yes... that is odd. I was as sure as I could be that I chose the Hobbit kingdom. I'll try to change it. Can't imagine how I ended up in Gondor. It's a long way past Sarnford, which is as far as I've ever been.
