Well, for those of you who don't know (the rest should skip this paragraph), Tolkien's final (I think) book in the "series" was to be the sequel to the Lord of the Rings. The New Shadow was, however, soon abandoned because Tolkien viewed it as "immoral and unessicary". Tolkien's final view was that there was no more to be said. (A pitty, realy. I would've loved it if Tolkien continued the series up untill the events of Dagor Dagoroth...)
Anyway, the book only has a leangth of about 13 pages, since it was never finished. I realy want to read those pages, and I know others have, but I can't find them anywhere.
Does anyone know a link to it? Please post it here if you do. It'd be greatly appreciated! ^^
Hmm, I'm not aware that anything in The History of Middle-Earth volumes is legally on line at this point in time.
The book has been out for some years now, so maybe that's why people seem to know about it. If you don't want the book, thirteen pages would not be long to read at a library, for example.

Just thought I would answer this point: The Dagor Dagorath is a battle at the End of Days in Middle-earth, which still hasn't arisen even today. Tolkien speculated that he believed we were currently in the sixth or seventh Age:
"I imagine the gap to be about 6000 years : that is we are now at the end of the Fifth Age, if the Ages were of about the same length as S.A. and T.A. But they have, I think, quickened; and I imagine we are actually at the end of the Sixth Age, or in the Seventh." Letter 211
So, he wouldn't have covered events up until the Dagor Dagorath because those events have yet to come!
