Has anyone read 'The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun'? I just finished it and find it fascinatingly inter-twined with the 'Children of Hurin' and 'The Lord of the Rings' trilogy. Does anyone else feel the same or has anyone had the time or opportunity to exam the text? What are your takes on the Eddaic and it's relation to Tolkien's original works?
Lomoduin, the poeple in my Local Tolkien Society, called The Inklings, have discussed some of it, but I personally have not read it. I have started to work sincerely on my book. I am doing a lot of reading on Story Structure Architure. And am also starting on "The Magic Ring" the book that inspired Tolkien to write the Lord of the Rings. I don't see myself reading it right away. But I will buy it, since it was used in Tolkien's writings and will help me understand ME and the background of the characters better.

Thanks Lady. That helps a lot. I really enjoyed reading The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrun a lot more than I thought I would. I'm actually going to re-read it just to make sure I get all of it. I will look for the Magic Ring and we can compare notes.
