The Legend of Sigurd and Gudrún

Aye, would have rathered Christopher compiled a book about the beginning of the Fourth Age, and the 'Retaking of Moria' (biggrin.gif) etc. Or even a full book concerning Numenor, or the Wars of Arnor and Gondor in the beginning of the Third Age.

But any book is better than no book.

I bet "The Might" will like that! Seeing that it is a German Story. I think that maybe Christopher Tolkien needs to have a break from Tolkien's LOTR type Manuscripts.

I hope, considering Christopher Tolkien's Age, that this is not the last Tolkien book published.

With the information in the back of LOTR and with other notes, I bet a book could be made of the beginning of the Fourth Age, but Christopher Tolkien would need to do more than editing to complete that. Also a book about the Downfall of Numenor and the tale of Eldarion and Erendis could be made into a book. And another book on the Wars of Arnor and Gondor in the mid-late Third Age. Some of those gaps could do with filling in. Right now we have a good few books on the First Age, no books - just sections in other books - about the Second Age, and the only books for the Third Age are The Hobbit and LOTR and some HOME books, but they consist mainly of the later Third Age, the rest being in sections of other books.
