Or you can go to many of the Online Tolkien resources. Like the Tolkien Gateway. Many places also have in-depth discussion groups like the Plaza, TheOne Boards, or just ype Durin in your browser. You don't have to join, you can look in the threads and see if you can find something on the subject.

Glorfindel, the siggy comes with the new picture. And King Anarion, the book you mentioned should have a Capital T and you should give a link if you are trying to help. Dwarf Guy, maybe you can look on this Board for information. There may already be a thread dealing with that issue. So why not look? And please, try to start sentences with Caps. This is really annoying to people who take pride in their posts, when others post as though they are in a lose IM situation. Also Durin should be spelled with a Capital D, not a lower case one.

Altough Wikipedia can provide correct information now and then, it is still place that i wouldn't use when finding trustful information about anything. Best thing is to stay in books if you really want to know what really happen to Durin (or anything else). Also looking for information for something from discussions in different forums etc may easily twist that information. Discussions are based to opinions and if there's long discussion that usually means that opinions don't meet of that specific subject.

I agree that Wikipedia is not always to be trusted, as anyone can edit the articles there, but I must say I have found some very well written and useful articles on different M-e related topics there.
The Might, so have I and I double check it in the books just to make sure. It helps a lot because they give the sources usually and I am still learning to research. But we all agree that we should FIRST read the books, not ask questions. If it is obviously from someone who does not wish to study and search the books for themselves and tries to make others do the work for them. Lord Tulkas is right when it comes to board discussions, you need to read the whole thread and then make up your own mind based on the books.
