Hello all, just introducing myself. I suppose I consider myself decently familiar with the works of Tolkien. Mostly my curiosity with things beyond Middle-Earth has brought me here, as well as the fact that I participate in LOTR SBG. I love maps, especially those that I have not seen before. Unfortu...

I come seeking Tolkien enlightenment...mental meanderings, and outright speculations on characters and their actions, outside of what is written... What if's, but then's...and of course the "but did you ever consider"...all that wrought that wasn't.

A good morning to you all. I'll leave it to you to interpret my meaning. I've been a fan since I read the LOTR in 4th grade, shortly followed by the Hobbit and the Silmarillion in 5th grade. Since then I've become more and more fascinated by the world of Arda. I recently recieved the first half of the Histor...

Hello everyone. I'm new to the place. To keep things short... I am a 17 year old boy from Norway, and I've been a Tolkien fan for about two years now. Sadly, I discovered how fantastic Tolkien's world is _after_ watching the Lord of the Rings movies... I have read the LoTR 4 times since then, however... Bu...

I've just joined the forum and I thought I'd introduce myself. Ten years ago, aged 10 I was introduced to Tolkien via: a rapidly worn out Video of the Fellowship of The Ring (I watched it four times in two days) and the reading to me of The Hobbit by my school teacher. Needless to say I was hooked, I watched...

A call to all Tolkien investigators

As we all know; Tolkien is the master of giving us all much detail in the most vague fashion and for the most part we are set up to answer our own questions when it comes to the origins of certain artifacts and people. These are challenging aspects to consider for even the shrewdest Tolkien fan and I thin...
