I guess Im the newest Noldo here. I wasn't sure whether to join here or in the Loremaster section. I'm sure I will find out soon enough. It's good to join a forum with so many Tolkien enthusiasts.

I didnt see Elves of the First Age as a choice for ranking kingdoms. I could be missing something.

btw TM I liked your trivia question under Battles and Weapons of Arda.

My apologies for not being specific TM. I was referring to the one about the military system used by Isildur in the battle with the orcs near the Gladden Fields.

Not your average Tolkien trivia question.

No, so far you have displayed quite a fair amount of lore so anyone can see Idiociy does not come into play. We just need a few more members who actually participate like me mos, Tm and Bauglir do. I hope you will be that member.

LoL I dont know if anyone can participate THAT much, but I will try to be active. I am finding some of the discussions to be quite intriguing.

In case you can't tell, my strengths are in Elven Lore and Linguistics, particularly leaning toward the Noldor.

It seems that this is an appropriate place to post this message.

My poor tired Powerbook G4 just died. Actually its just the LCD display that is not functioning and the good people at Apple Computers are willing to fix the problem for free (yet another reason to purchase Apple products). Unfortunately that means that I will be unable to post regularly for the next 5-7 business days whilst (note the British English ) the repairs are being done.

I know TM will miss the Trivia and Hangman and TSF will be almost completely alone in Beleriand and Glorfindel and MoS will only have TM to pick on.


I hope to return ASAP. See you all in the near future. Try not to have too much fun without me.

For those of you wondering, I am posting this on my ancient Gateway Laptop. It's barely able to stay on long enough for me to finish this post.

I'm not back yet, but I stole some time on a laptop at work. BTW I really HATE Microsoft Windows. How does the world survive with such a ****py OS?

I hate my PC...it's far too slow and the ****py WLAN network makes my net even slower...so I usually don't open many net pages at a time
I don't like my windows either, but considering my financial problems...I am not willing to buy anything else.
