Hello all. Although I have only been here for a few short days, I have not yet introduced myself. I am Elendil (since "the Tall" is merely a monikor, just as you would not call Forlong "the Fat" to his face), and I have been a Tolkien fan for quite a number of years now. I have read quite a few of Tolkien's works, up to and including the Lays of Beleriand, and I will likely read Morgoth's Ring this summer once my school obligations are done for the term. I look forward to meeting you all.

Well, I'm just going to highjack my own thread to let you all know why I haven't been around as much for the last few days.
My first year of uni has come to an end, so I now have to share a computer with my 5 sisters and my parents. Therefore, my posting won't be nearly as regular as before. I'll still be around, just not as much.
Since there's no OOC-style forums here on TF, I'm just going to hijack my own thread again to let you all know why I haven't been online lately.
When I last posted here, my grandmother, who has been seriously ill for some time, was just taking a turn for the worst, and died a few days thereafter. On top of this, I have been experiencing (and still am experiencing), problems with the wireless Internet at home, so I have to share a desktop computer with the rest of my family (I have 5 sisters, so I have limited access sharing the comp between 8 people).
Therefore, I'm just poking my head on here to let you all know A) why I haven't been around, and B) why I still won't be around for a while, due to my limited Internet access, coupled with responsibilities elsewhere.
I would also like to appoligise for the tone which my last few posts before my absence took on. The manner in which some things were said was not nearly as controlled as I normally am, partly due to my RL problems, but also due to the topic. While I stand by everything I said (having looked back at my post, I by no means regret what I said, only the manner in which I said it), I apologise for my confrontational tone. I sincerely hope that none were offended.
Hi!! Tar Palantir here! New on this forum, I heard about it from Lord of all on Arwen-Undomiel.com. I will introduce myself as a loremaster as I have read a few of Tolkiens works including LOTR, the hobbit, Silmarillion, Lost tales 1 and 2, Lays of Beleriand, and am reading th elosot road and other writings @ the moment. I will be reading more soon. I hope I can make a good contribution to the forum and that I wiil enjoy myself.
