Am I missing something?

I've really enjoyed the conversations, though limited, that I've been involved with on this forum.  I can't help but wonder if I'm missing something though.  I can't seem to find any "fresh" posts or threads.  I'm not into roll playing.  I find my style of writing isn't good for that sort of thing.  I just am wondering if there is some way to find thoughts that aren't one or two years old.

lomoduin.
I experienced the same sort of lost "missing" feeling when I first joined in April 2008.  I'm not an online role-player either.
How I broke out of that feeling was by finding a particular thread that interested me and just put mt 2 cents in.
The forum responded...The Might, Glorfindel1235, mouth of sauron, Arwen Legolas, Olorin/Gandalf, Galin, Sweeper, Tarcil, Eonwe, Bilbo Baggins, (please forgive you others who I forgot) all responded to a post from 2006.  Your perspective on these old threads triggers their passion for Tolkien and they respond.
There are so many threads that it takes awhile to read them all.  Like I said, I've been here since April and still haven't finished reading the all...I try and do one or two a day.
Right now I am working on this one; (Tolkien Forums > The Unknown Powers > Melkor greater than Eru? > mouth of sauron >April 16th,  2006)
Last posting was January 2007.
I have a new slant on this so I'm re-reading my Silmarillion for quotes and also visiting the Forums and reading all that the 8 different contributers have posted.
I had fun jumping in on all kinds of Analytical, Psychological, Spiritual topics no matter how old...
These people really love their Tolkien, and if you do too, they will embrace you.
So pick a thread and jump in...
I promise I will be right behind you.

lomoduin, like Bear said, just look for something that interests you and jump in. This is my Shabbat Forum. I post here only from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown. Sometimes I make it in during the week, to check on my RPG. Unlike you and Bear, I am into RPGs. But don't be shy, we will not bite.

Thank you for your acceptance and support. I've visited a few other forums but, like I said before, they seem more shallow in thought and more into gaming. I'm starting to figure things out, I think. I really wasn't sure if I should post in threads that had been dead for a while. If Bear is picking up something from Jan 2007 I guess it's okay then.

You are a welcome addition to our forum Iomoduin. Don't worry so much young Lady, you will do just fine. Make it quality time you enjoy. I know as a mother of little ones, you need to have time off from them and get some intellectual challenges. I for one am glad you're here.

Thank you so much, Bear, ArwenLegolas, and TheMight, (is The Might spaced?lol). I have really enjoyed being apart of this forum. I've been enlightened, taught, and thought provoked. I'm glad I started this thread so I can truely and loudly say THANK YOU!! You are all awesome and exceptional Tolkien fanatics and I'm proud to be associated with you even if it is only on this forum!!

Much love,

Kelly
