Hey guys thought I'd introduce myself. No offense to Finrod Felegund (with a space in his name) I'm FinrodFelegund (Quintin). I first read LOTR when I was about 12, but I just now finished Sil, and am delving into HOME. I wish I went right into sil 12 years ago, but hey hindsights a real whopper of a doozie right?
Well I used to be a member of a Tolkien fangroup and email list (if anyone remembers the Litterbox back in the AOL days), and learned alot in lore at that time, even without reading the greater works of the man. Anyway Ulmo has rekindled in me a deep interest in the works, and I look forward to future hobnob with you all.

Welcome! You should find this a rather active group. As TSF checked out your profile, I did, also. I'm up in VT. Don't know if you're into such (and it's a long time away) but next year the Mythopoeic Society conference (Mythcon 39) will be at Central Connecticut State University August 15-18, with Anthony Burdge (Northeast Tolkien Society) as one of the cochairs (along with Jessica Burke). This year, it was held in California. So it will be a unique opportunity to see this and not have to travel "forever" to do so. Snoop around, find some topics of interest (or start one, as I did), and have fun.
