Who are you? (in 250 words)

Who am I? or What I am?

First of all, I would like to begin with who am I from my point of view. Well, it’s really not that simple to say. I believe that describing myself in 250 words would be totally unfair to me since I’m more complex then that.
I am queer. People think I am queer. To sustain this idea I would mention just some facts of my personality. Firstly, I like solitude. I hate the light and the sun. I walk in the night. I speak to myself. When I’m woonded, I like to lick my blood because it’s salty. Would you like me to continue, or are you fricked enough?
I am smart. At least I want to think I’m smart. It’s enough to throw an eye on a 10 pages essay and I can remember the details for at least 10 days without any second reading. I have good visual memory. Maps and even writings are easily memorized.
Second of all, people say many things about me and many would be wrong. However, I always have to struggle to get pieces of information since they say things on my back. ‘People are mean and we hates it.’ In brief, I would be merry, arrogant, selfish and insensitive. Would that be right? Could be…
Not many things could be counted as my hobbies: PC games, horror movies, Nightwish, gothic metal and astronomy would the the main hobbies.
I hate sports. It makes me thin and handsome which would be in a complet contradictory with myself. ‘Could we let that happen? Of course we couldn’t precious.’
I like superficiality at people and I hate it at me. People use to throw words and friedly hands without endowing them with true meaning. In their failure to look humans, I grinn.
To continue, I am certainly unlike to have something in commun with the people in Switzerland. I am cold, unfriendly, silent and dark wich would be completely in contradictory with swiss, whose personalities are based rather on love. And still, corrupted little thieves they remain. But like myself, there’ll always be someone to be able to see all these from outside and criticize it as though the society wouldn’t be as perfect as we thought.
To conclude, I hope I did answer briefly the question(s) and made my point. It’s easy to say what I would like to be or how I would like to be but only through the eyes of the outseiders will we be able to actually see what we really are.
Who in hell are you anyway?

Certainly a strange thread.

As for me I am a Hobbit who enjoys a quite life in Bag-end and a sit on the lawn in fine weather in the summer. I enjoy 10 meals before mid-day and another 15 afterwards.

PS: I DON'T like adventures! Good Morning.

So you mean you like Nightwish or not

In fact Nightwish is my life. In the privacy of my room, that's mainly what I listen. Just seldom some Celine Dion, Enya, Moonsorrow, Iron Maiden, Blue or other stuff I consider worthy of atention. My limited knowledge of English, I admit, fails to render exactly what I mean or what I try to say but mostly of the time, my messages reach the aim. To what Nidalf said, all above and still, music is momently my only way to express myself.

As for our old Bilbo as strange as it sounds to you, the thread is rather average than odd. Is not an IC. Is about yourself, the simple or complex person behind the screen, it depends completely on yourself how much or what you want me to know about you. Will you reveal yourself in all your complexity or would you rather prefear staying anonym, it's up to you!!!

Well, a few things about myself:

- I like just about any type of music, as long as I like the way it sounds and the things it expresses
- I very much dislike almost non-sensical music such as gangsta rap
- I enjoy almost any sport, except athletics
- Am quite competitive, I like to win, but I definitely always stay fair in the things I do
- Am not a very religious person, but not a convinced atheist either, I guess I still haven't found my inner balance yet
- Like to eat good food, but on the other hand I try to take care of my weight
- Like to meet up with my friends and do something fun
- Hate the so called German "parties" were 30% of the people are drunk after an hour and which usually end after someone pukes all over the floor
- Hope I'll be able to save enough money for my driver's license
- Am a good student, not A+, but my marks are good enough to get me where I want to in the future
- Do a lot of stupid things I afterwards regret, I try to improve in this respect
- I play PC games (strategy or role play) and PS2 or X-Box sometimes, but I'm definitely not a game addict
- Enjoy reading a good book once in a while
- Still like building LEGO stuff from time to time
- Am proud of my collection of small alcohol bottles (about 4cl each and also unopened)
- Like to keep my room clean and in order
- Hate my PC for not being good enough for some goods
- LOVE Tolkien
- Speak Romanian, English and German fluently and I'm working on Spanish at the moment
- Just like Rumil, don't like fake people that say stuff behind my back, I'll usually say something if I feel the need to (many of my friends congratulate me for that since they usually aren't able to say what they think)
- I try to become a better person, not sure if it's working
- I'm the way I am, and I don't care about fashion or trends or stuff like that just to be like all others
- I just finished telling you some things about me in probably more then 250 words

PS: - I like Nightwish too, I also like the fact that they make LOTR references in some songs, for example in "Wishmaster"

Here goes...

-I'm a bit too passé for my generation; I like poetry, old books, and spending time alone. I have an odd taste in music (or so the people around me would say) — I listen to Celtic New Age, metal, classic rock, soundtracks, and rock. I like Within Temptation, Nightwish, Blind Guardian, Enya, Loreena McKennitt, Helen Trevillion, Iron Maiden, the Moody Blues, Mozart (especially Requiem, the Mass for the Dead), Grieg, Beethoven, and lots of TV, movie, and game soundtracks. I dislike country, rap, R&B, and jazz.
-I have bad hand-eye coordination and am pretty bad at any sport. I used to be able to run fast, and that was my only saving grace, but now I'm slower than most people my age (17). I'm somewhat out of shape, since I spend my days sitting on the computer and listening to music, reading stories, and going on forums ... I don't get out much, and I'm really pale.
-I have bipolar disorder and depression and my moods can be quite odd. That used to inspire me to be really creative and energetic — I could write, stay up for days and days, and work a lot; but now I'm on medications that regulate my emotions but also turn me into a virtual zombie ... I can't find the ability to think, or to do work.
-I'm really introspective, and have more regrets and secrets than most people my age.
-I haven't read LotR or any of Tolkien's works for years now; I suppose I'm hanging out in the fandom now
because of the enjoyment I get from debating/answering lore questions or translating; I suppose I lost my actual love for LotR somewhere along the way and have to re-read it ... someday.
-I used to be quite competitive and ultra-perfectionistic, but now I've slipped, and have some black marks on my record ... I guess I don't feel the pressure to have to be perfect now that I've shown everyone that I'm not.
-I used to ultra-fundamentalist-Christian, but held myself to a higher standard than I would anyone else; I would "punish" myself for perceived flaws. I've since decided I'm agnostic. I like studying Buddhism and Islam and Judaism ... I guess in ideology I'm closest to Reform Judaism, but I've had it with organized religion for now.
-I've had some weight issues with being too thin, and losing weight too quickly (though I never actually TRIED to lose weight!)
-I don't have any hobbies outside of Tolkienian linguistics
-I'm a bit of a packrat: I collect and collect and collect; I keep everything I've ever owned, and find it hard to throw something away "in case I might need it later"... and normally I need it a day or so AFTER I throw it out
-It takes less than a day after cleaning and organizing my desk or my room for it to become disorganized and messy again
-I'm quite guarded, and don't trust many people (except for strangers... I suppose people have my trust until they show they're not trustworthy... which is the majority of the population) or let my emotions show when I'm in school — I've perfected keeping a blank façade devoid of thought
-I had an overbite when I was younger, and though years of dental care have fixed that, I've kept a slight lisp because of it. Which I despise ... it makes people think I'm gay.
-I like using the ellipsis (dot dot dot ...) a lot
-I like 'sampling' languages; dabbling in them and learning some words and phonology but not actually learning them
-My hair is my only vanity ... I love it to death, and want to grow it into a braid. I'd have a heart attack if I had to shave my head, or something like that; I loathe haircuts
-I'm never going to smoke (or drink, probably; I don't trust myself to act properly if I were drunk)
-I have glasses since I'm farsighted in one eye and nearsighted in the other, but barely wear them
-My fondest memories are of being a Boy Scout; I had high ambitions ... before I was kicked out
-I'm an INFP or INFJ in Myers-Briggs personality tests
-My pride makes it hard for me to accept help; I want to do things on my own, and in my own way; I'm NOT a team player. I'd rather stay up all night doing all the work on a school project myself because I don't trust the others to make something which meets my standards of quality
-People take advantage of my generosity ... and I let them.
-I'm not smart enough to be a genius, but not dumb enough to meld with the general public, so I feel like an outcast from both groups
-Whenever I eat an apple, I always cut my mouth on the skin .... but blood and apples taste good together
-One of my coping methods is to read fanfiction for books or TV shows that I like; I've been reading a lot of it lately
-This past year my health has been deplorable; I'm probably not going to graduate high school because of it.
-I'm an identical twin; for years we were alike in almost every way, and could finish each others' sentences, know what the other was thinking, pick the same food item on a menu without knowing it ... but then a rift occurred, and we're now really different from each other, and barely talk
-I guess I like to talk about myself online, since I never do it IRL
-Blah, bleckity blah ....
-For books I like the works of Tolkien, Janny Wurts, Robert Jordan, Raymond Feist, Terry Brooks (I know, I know...), Michael Crichton, etc.
-For movies I like scifi-fantasy, but V for Vendetta was one of my favorite all-time films. I guess I used to dream of being an anarchist
-For TV I like Lost and Jericho, and used to like Alias and an anime show called Gundam Wing ... which was probably only because I had a major crush on one of the characters.
-I guess that's enough now; way over 250 characters.

Well...you know what Tolkien said about Beorn, he was "a bit of a magician" himself, so maybe if you practice enough you'll transform into a big black bear too.
Anyway, I find magic really interesting and some acts really stun me. I know all say it's about fooling the audience and about your hands being faster then their eyes...but sometimes I'm not so sure about it.
Good luck in your future career btw, hope it works out for you, and maybe you can do something to help your country exit this period of decline it's entered for some time now.

Actually Magic isn't so much hand is faster than the eye, its all psychological and misdirection is the magicians biggest help.  I do close up card and coin manipulation so having fast hands does help, but I also am getting involved with stage and Illusions, which are pretty much self working, but they require an act from the magician to make them be entertaining.  Magic is probally 10% technical and sleights, and 90% showmanship.  People react to a trick, but you get an even greater reaction depending on how the trick was performed and how well you presented yourself.  BTW, I'm working on turning myself into A Black Bear. LOL.
